We had a very clear rooms (120 €) to the main road. The traffic was with the window closed slightly disturbing - but since there is no air conditioning, it is warm weather when sweating or not sleep. Three weddings at the same time noise levels were also from the patio and party room to rise further. In addition, Bar was the parking and the restaurant / crowded. The situation is unique, the hotel is not bad, but still quite expensive.

Very friendly staff, excellent service and good breakfast.

Location excellent. Room very noisy due to creaking floors in corridor & rooms and thin walls. Television very poor.

Overbooking by problem when we arrived we were transferred to another hotel: Royal York, right next to the main railway station. We were well attended and this hotel had better location. Staff extremely polite and helpful. Recommend to others.

The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room very cosy. I would have liked a shower attached to the wall rather than as handheld one on the bath taps.

Shower was awful - intermittent hot and cold - almost got scalded.Very disappointed in view of the cost.

Although the hotel was in a good location, I think it was very overpriced, especially as we had booked 8 months in advance. However our main complaint was the fact that the TV had been switched off. I agree with the Green Policy of the hotel BUT there were NO instructions on how to turn the TV on, (the switch was located behind the TV, well out of sight). I will not be recomending this hotel.

The hotel was good,but we had a room above the road, too noisy . The room was very warm and we couldn't open the window, sealed up due to road noise. We should have asked to change rooms but arrived later.

The Monkbar Hotel was a nice mideum range hotel.
